This learning board has a focus on shape recognition. The board is divided into 2 halves. The upper half sets the children a challenge using a task bar. Three shapes (a red hexagon, a blue square and a yellow circle) are slid into one of three different locations. In the bottom half of the board there are three vertical column spaces to accept 9 shapes (three columns of 3 shaped pieces). The challenge is for the children to move the right shape into the right location. All the pieces are cleverly contained within the board so they can be moved easily but not removed or lost. Children will need to focus upon colour and shape properties and be able to manoeuvre pieces to the right place using fine motor skills. It can be used on a desktop or connected to any STEM Wall, or using the ME30252 Wall Mounting Kit fitted directly on to any classroom wall.
