Basic Skills Training Lacing Board
Threading a lace through a shape and fixing it neatly to a baseboard requires concentration and dexterity, good coordination and excellent fine motor skills. Selecting pieces and placing them on the baseboard so they make a regular pattern is even more demanding and spotting shapes that can be positioned to be symmetrical is the ultimate challenge. This board will be in constant use with children who will want to learn how to thread and sew. They will want to make their own unique patterns and the more proficient they become the more rewarding they will find the process. In addition, children will learn the names of the colours and names and properties of the shapes. With 4 large yellow triangles, 4 small green triangles, 4 light blue circles, 4 red squares, 2 dark blue rectangles and 2 burgundy-coloured semicircles there is plenty of scope for open ended designs.
Features:
Size of board: 280 x 280mm.
Age: 3+ years.
